Innovation Award

Open to U.K. applicants.

We accept applications year round.

Develop the practice of occupational therapy

The first aim in our operational framework is to develop the practice of occupational therapy. This can be achieved by introducing new ideas, services and delivery models into practice.

On occasions, developing practice may call for innovative thinking and design, and securing funding for this can be challenging. The Trust has funding available to support such development. Our Innovation Award honours the memory of Elizabeth Casson who, herself, was a leader and innovator by bringing occupational therapy to England.

As each idea will be unique – it is innovation after all! – we do not have a standard application form, instead please present your idea in the form of a business case. We have provided an outline for this here and have a masterclass to help prepare you for writing a business case here.

Please email applications to Pam at [email protected].

If you would like to sound out your idea for interest by the Trust before applying, please contact Pam at [email protected].

Case Studies

The OT project teams have been committed to developing their skills and in taking forward all they have learnt and utilizing it in practice. The overall team is more cohesive with everyone talking the same language in relation to change. Different parts of the team have worked together where as previously they may not have worked closely and this has developed working relationships across sites and partnerships.
