“How do you top up the gas tank when you are running on empty?”     “Wanting to leave the profession due to factors such as stress, poor work/life balance, low job satisfaction”     “due to pressures of everyday job, feeling unable to take risks”     “career progression on my own terms – progressing career to suit with life”     “Often it’s confidence & overload that can hold individuals back from exploring further career possibilities” “That’s a personal decision around creating boundaries for myself and saying no to things. However, professional development time/personal development of career takes another lot of time from “home life” that feels like a burden sometimes and that it can eat into this time”     “’I’m good but I feel people need more information on – Understanding the value of self. Building confidence to say NO. how to set and review boundaries”     “Creating healthy boundaries. Developing effective communication skills. Building assertiveness. Setting realistic expectations – for self/others”     ‘”OT yourself” something I’ve been working on recently, and being able to prioritise self care to avoid burnout”     “How to know when to say no, how to ensure you take adequate breaks and lunch”     “This is complex to change! maybe mapping tools, so we can review our current balance of activities and see where we could make changes”     “Not sure it is info or resources for me…just a need for time sleep and breaks from the wider routine sometimes”     “Mental health support and advice, education on burnout and stress and tips on setting boundaries”     “Reminding occupational therapists of the importance of occupational balance in our own lives”     “How to recognise signs you may not have a good work life balance (can be hard to acknowledge this when you want to be a ‘helpful’ OT, especially in an early career).”
