Recruiting two new trustees!
The Elizabeth Casson Trust is a charitable Trust and fund established in 1948 on behalf of Dr. Elizabeth Casson, founder of occupational therapy in the UK. Our purpose is to provide funds to support the ‘furtherance of occupational therapy’ primarily, but not exclusively, in the UK; our strategic intentions show how we will achieve this. Our Board comprises ten members all of whom bring their own professional skills to the work of the Trust. Following the retirement of two trustees, we are currently recruiting two new trustees to complement our Board. The skills sets we have identified are:
- An occupational therapist from non-statutory / independent sector with business expertise.
- An individual with research expertise and a national view of our profession’s research and research strategy. This person does not have to be an occupational therapist.
We are primarily a virtual group who undertake the majority of our work remotely, and the commitment expected from our trustees is attendance at four meetings each year as well as participation in at least one of the working groups responsible for a strand of our strategy.
The specification for each role can be found below.
If you would like to know more, please email [email protected] for information or to arrange a discussion.
To apply, please email [email protected]:
- your CV highlighting your skills and experience relevant to the role,
- a personal statement indicating why you would be an asset to the work and sustainability of the Trust (no more than 500 words).
Applications close 15 December 2017. We look forward to hearing from you.
