| Attending the PIPJ level II course has improved my Hand Therapy skills and has enabled me to provide patients with creative splint options to improve their range of movement and return to their daily occupations. In my current Senior Occupational Therapy position, I feel confident in providing up to date/evidenced based learning and support to colleagues to help manage their patients with complex PIPJ injuries or conditions. I have achieved my continuous professional development goal, to attend this course and share my learning with colleagues in our monthly teaching session. The course has enabled me to consolidate my anatomy knowledge and understanding of the development of deformities. I have learned different ways to assess the PIPJ and clinically reason the treatment options for treating fixed flexion deformities. |
