In December 2025, Kezia Llewelyn and Suné van der Merwe travelled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA, with funding from the International Scholarship Award. They visited the Call to Freedom organisation, a trauma-informed non-profit organisation providing comprehensive ongoing and coordinated support for individuals impacted by human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Kezia and Suné aimed to visit the occupational therapy team within this organisation to understand the development and operations of this service.
Whilst spending the week at Call to Freedom, Kezia and Suné were invited to attend an interview by the
local news channel – Keloland News. This was due to the international interest in which Call to
Freedom was attracting from occupational therapist perceptive.
