The OT case formulation training that I completed will hopefully be of great benefit to my practice, the training has provided me with a structure that I can use which encompasses the core values of occupational therapy in a clear and concise format. I am hoping that the formulation template will enable me to have a clearer over view of a veterans occupational needs separating identity and competency to highlight areas that can be worked on within one to one or group occupational therapy intervention. Secondly the goal setting aspect of the training provided some thought provoking questions and challenged the way I am currently setting goals with clients to allow me to develop upon this, making goals more specific, including agreeing the exact level of support that should be expected and a specific time frame. This structured goal setting procedure will help me to keep within organisational limits re number of sessions I am able to provide.
