Sleep Practitioner Training Course
Learning about the role of sleep and how I can utilise my skills as an Occupational Therapist in this area has broadened my outreach spectacularly with the children and families I work with. I am now able to offer a truly holistic assessment and address this area before moving onto more targeted occupational therapy goals families just did not have the time or head space for previously due to lack of sleep. The impact on my practice has been far wider than I could have ever predicted. The course has shown me that Occupational Therapists are in a truly unique position to look at sleep as an occupation whilst taking the person and environment into perspective. I plan to show the service I work for exactly that! I can’t thank the Elizabeth Casson Trust enough for allowing me this opportunity.
