Post-graduate studies
I have greatly enjoyed the first year of my MSc studying; and have found it rewarding and fulfilling. As a result, I received good grades and positive feedback from my tutors. I am very grateful for the help I received from the ECT, which helped me to be able to afford to finance my first year. I am very keen to pursue my studies into my second year, to advance further my professional development.
Thanks in large measure to my MSc studies I have recently been appointed to a post as Clinical Research Therapist. One of the modules I will be studying later this year will be about research methods, which will be very relevant to my new post. I feel that my second year studies will equip me to develop evidence-based practice, in order to work more efficiently; and so benefit service users.
As part of my CPD I have attended the last two RCOT annual conferences, in Birmingham and Belfast; and have been inspired by what I have learned and experienced to develop my knowledge and skills in OT and to continue my studies in the subject.
