“Good supervision” “Increase the value of occupational therapy” “Clinical work most important” “Priority of clinical work always overshadowing any other opportunities” “No support or understanding from management” “We’re on the back burner and playing catch up as a profession” “professional identity – not a clear narrative of what we do” “Cultural change within leadership so that managers are not solely focused on trying to keep hold of their staff, but they’re about growing their staff and having conversations to help them achieve their career goals rather than just solely keeping them within that job” “How we promote our profession and how we’re understood if we’re not understood or valued, we won’t be invested in” “Occupational therapy leadership taking on a stronger political (small p politics) stance” “People understanding what occupational therapists and individuals bring and add to the table” “Managers who listen, are responsive and act – having flexibility to discuss options with individuals, hear concerns and appear to try and help!” “Good senior leaders in occupational therapy” “It does wear you down when ideas are knocked down”
