International Spinal Cord Society Scientific Meeting

Attending this conference allowed me to meet with practitioners and researchers from all over the world, all with a passion for working with people with spinal cord injuries and aiming to improve client outcomes as best as possible. Attending different talks and workshops allowed me to learn about cutting edge practices, be up to date with current best evidence and to be inspired in my current work. I was able to talk with others about my topic of interest (sexuality following spinal cord injury) as this was one of the themes of this years conference and to be inspired to continue in this area, now with the aim of completing a phd. I was also fortunate enough to present the findings from my MSc thesis and to inform and educate others about current challenges and existing knowledge within a low and middle income setting.
